Hemp as a ‘Soft Disruptor’ to Drive Climate Solutions

Session 10
Day 4

About the Session

The panel will explore the large, industrial-scale roll-out of modular facilities with maximized positive environmental impact – using Hemp as the base raw material. We will discuss evolutions of the technologies that have the potential to eliminate millions of tons of plastic waste, remediate billions of gallons of water, capture megatons of carbon, produce millions of pounds of raw biomaterials that can be converted to biochar, activated carbon, graphene, diamonds, bioplastic, renewable energy, paper, fiber, textiles, building materials and valuable organic oils, all while creating high paying ‘green’ jobs. The plethora of opportunities for blended finance to deliver economic, social and environmental impact will also be discussed.
