The Possibilities of Infrastructure Justice

Session 06

Day 2

About the Session

Climate change is testing the limits of our ecological, political, economic, and social systems, and does not impact all communities equally. Today, many historically excluded communities experience the negative consequences from proximity to polluting infrastructure and are often relegated to areas that expose them to physical harm. Implementing climate risk mitigation and adaptation for lasting, inclusive value, necessitates a strategic vision that integrates our best climate solutions with social and racial justice intentions.
Well-managed, sustainable infrastructure investments within can generate community value, health benefits, and financial returns. In a conversation with Monique Aiken of The Investment Integration Project (TIIP), Stephan Nicoleau will explain how FullCycle focuses on infrastructure that can abate the Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) with highest near-term warming potential to invest and develop solutions that accelerate decarbonization and achieve a spectrum of positive health and societal outcomes. What we build, where we build, and who gets to be involved, are all critical questions that demand answers as we transition to the low-carbon future of tomorrow.
