President and Portfolio Manager, TSWII
Kate Caldwell Nevin is President and Portfolio Manager at TSWII, a multi-family, multi-fund office based in Chattanooga, TN. Kate works in the Charleston, SC office and is responsible for portfolio management, investment research and client relations. Prior to joining TSWII in 2002, Kate was an analyst with Lehman Brothers, New York City, in the Equity Prime Brokerage Division with a focus on hedge fund sales. She is a member of 100 Women in Finance, Institute for Private Investors, Gratitude Railroad and has recently joined the new cohort of NEXUS Impact Society. Kate has received the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) designation.
Kate is the Founder + Board Chair of the non-profit, Enough Pie which uses creativity to connect and empower the community of the upper peninsula in Charleston, SC. Kate also serves on the National Advisory Board of the Ackland Art Museum at the University of North Carolina/Chapel Hill.
Kate received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1999 and completed The Executive Program of the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business in June 2004. Kate is a 2014 Riley Institute Fellow (Diversity Leadership).
Kate lives on an island outside of Charleston, SC, with her husband and three children. She is active in planning and conservation with multiple organizations and groups as it pertains to protecting the ecology and culture of this sea island she calls home.
